Performing the Test

  1. With patient sitting, examiner raises the patient's arm to 90° shoulder flexion while stabilizing the scapula
  2. Examiner applies internal rotational force to humerus
  3. Positive test: reproduction of shoulder pain
  4. Sensitivity: 72%
  5. LR+ = 2.11; LR- = 0.42
