Performing the Test

  1. Ask patient to make a fist around their thumb and passively ulnar deviate wrist while maintaining that fist
  2. Positive test: reproduction of pain over abductor pollicis longus and extensor pollicis brevis tendons with ulnar devaition
  3. Sensitivity: 81%, Specificity: 50%
  4. LR+ = 1.62, LR- = 0.38
