Performing the Test

  1. With patient in sitting, elevate arm to 90° shoulder flexion and examiner horizontally adducts patient's arm to end range
  2. Positive test: reproduction of shoulder pain
    • Sensitivity: 77%; Specificity: 79%
    • LR+ = 3.66; LR- = 0.29
